To be considered a Contributing Author to the POA Manual, applicants must submit a cover letter stating area of expertise along with a curriculum vitae. A curriculum vitae is a summary of one's career and professional qualifications, and usually includes a listing of published works. However, if a candidate does not have any published works, a writing sample is required. The writing sample may be in the form of a report or study prepared at the request of an employer, or an unpublished manuscript or article.
For a list of available topics, contact protectionofassets@asisonline.org. Select the topic about which you would like to write, based on your expertise, and submit a comprehensive outline for this subject/section.
Please forward your cover letter, curriculum vitae, outline, and writing sample (if necessary) to: ASIS International, Attn: Eva Giercuszkiewicz, 1625 Prince Street, Alexandria, VA 22314-2818. Or, if you prefer, you may email her at the address shown above.
NOTE: Authors must complete their work for the POA Manual within a 60-day time period following the signing of the contract. If you do not have this flexibility, please do not submit your proposal until you are fully ready and committed to do so. Please know that the POA Editorial Review Committee will be reviewing content and that the draft copy may go through several stages of revision before it is published.
